One significant advantage of working in a wine store is that you have the opportunity to try a whole myriad of tasty wines. One day last week I brought my version of oven-braised ribs done in a sweet & sour sauce for lunch. I matched that with a sample of the Rockford Basket Press Shiraz 2001 that was featured on our tasting bar. This is a higher-end ageable wine from the Barossa region of Southern Australia. Lots of raisin-y and dark fruit notes with a silky mouth feel. If I had to sum up the taste experience, the single word would be “delicious”!
I invite you to drop by on the weekend to try some of the wonderful wines featured on our tasting bar. I am the “older” guy on staff and would love to chat with you.
